Who did the work

Pencil tick. Entrydesk AI suggests. It reads, matches and proposes, and says Needs expert when it is not sure.
Stamp box. Code checks. Fixed rules and lookups test what the AI proposed. Code never changes a value to make a check pass.
Signature line. A person approves. Your declarant decides and stays responsible for the declaration.

Box 7a

Read

Turn pages into fields and lines.

Page Sorter

AI does: Sorts every page into its paper type: invoice, packing list, bill of lading, Form M, permit and more.
Code checks: The papers a shipment needs are all there. A page it is not sure about is listed for you.
A person: The preparer fixes any page put in the wrong type.

Document Reader

AI does: Reads the header fields and every line, including weight, country of origin and shipping terms.
Code checks: Totals add up. Units, currencies and dates are valid. A field it is unsure about is flagged.
A person: The preparer corrects highlighted fields in one click.

Line Matcher

Does: Plain code, no AI. Matches each invoice line to its packing list line and its Form M line (the form your bank files before you import) by printed number, shared words and quantity. A text comparison model is used only for close calls.
Code checks: Quantities and values reconcile. A line that matches nothing is kept and shown, never dropped.
A person: The preparer confirms the matches it is less sure about.

Decide

Suggest the code and say why.

Code Finder

AI does: Suggests up to three codes from the tariff lines Entrydesk has loaded, with a score for the first, or says Needs expert.
Code checks: The code exists in the tariff Entrydesk has loaded, which covers part of the full tariff. The same product from the same supplier gets the code you used before.
A person: The declarant approves every code.

Code Explainer

AI does: Writes the reason for each code in plain words and points to the tariff line it used.
Code checks: Every reason cites a tariff line that was in the search results.
A person: The declarant reads it and may edit it.

Duty Estimator

Does: Plain code, no AI. Works out duty, levies and VAT from versioned rate tables.
Code checks: Every rate shows its source. Every figure is labelled Estimate, and it leaves out Import Adjustment Tax and excise when they are not loaded.
A person: The preparer checks it. Customs makes the final bill.

Check

Find what does not match.

Mismatch Finder

AI does: Compares the papers, flags what does not match and says why.
Code checks: Fixed rules with stated tolerances, and the evidence behind each result.
A person: The preparer resolves each warning or fail.

Permit Finder

Does: Plain code, no AI. Checks each line against Entrydesk's permit table, which is small. A line with no rule says so. That is not a clearance.
Code checks: Each rule shows its source and whether it is verified.
A person: The declarant confirms.

Deadline Watch

Does: Plain code, no AI. Tracks free days, Form M validity and permit expiry.
Code checks: Dates come from the papers or from the preparer. Free days are never guessed.
A person: The preparer sets the free days from the shipping line.

Prepare

Get the paperwork ready for your declarant.

Declaration Draft

Does: Plain code, no AI. Puts the declaration data in the order of the form's boxes.
Code checks: Required fields are all present. A code goes in only when your declarant accepted it.
A person: The declarant approves. The agent keys it in.

Ruling Drafter

AI does: Drafts an advance ruling request for a line marked Needs expert.
Code checks: Prices and party names are removed before the draft is written. Required fields are present.
A person: The agent edits and submits it themselves.

Client Brief

AI does: Writes a plain summary for your importer and lists the papers still missing.
Code checks: Every number comes from the database, not from the AI.
A person: The agent reads it, edits it and sends it themselves.

Box 7e

Learn and ask

Ask questions and reuse what you approved.

Ask the File

AI does: Answers questions about one shipment and points to the spot on the page.
Code checks: Answers only from this shipment's data and cites the page and field. With no source it says it could not find it.
A person: Read only. Nothing is changed.
